Foxdenton Hall 31 July 2010

Team Present:

Michelle (Resident Medium),Dee (Resident sensitive),Ed (Investigator and Tec),Stu (reasearcher and Tec),Dave (Tec and sensitive),Pauline (Hospitality),James (Resident Sensitive),

Guest Mediums : John, Karen, Joanne.

Equipment used: Environment Meter, Dowsing Rods, 10 x Infra red Night vision camera's, Motion sensors, Night vision hand held video camera's, Dictaphones,Glass divination, Laser thermometer's, White noise cd and finally the Parabolic Listening device.

The night went very well and very active indeed, I think with all the positive people in the hall on the night really helped raise the whole atmosphere through the roof.

Below is a compilation of the nights activities and a compilation of things that were picked up from our mediums, sensitives and the public.

The kitchen and pantry area:
The kitchen area in the hall is generally quiet regarding picking paranormal activity up but on the night a few people picked up on a Lady in a long flowing white dress walking round the kitchen looking for something she had lost.Two people picked up that she had a broken or a crick in her neck as if she had either suffered or died from this.

The Main Hall Area:
We started in here by doing a group opening up meditation, to try to draw spirit in closer and help people open the senses.John the guest medium picked up on a lady called Elizabeth and the year 1843 was attached to her but not sure if this was the year she passed or a year that meant something great to her whilst at the hall. John felt that she walked the house and the grounds outside and that people have been aware of her and seen her over the years within the grounds of the hall and the windows on the building itself. Whilst in this room the names Catherine and the name George were very prominent also, George was a very powerful man who stood no messing.

The name Catherine was connected to George and was possibly his wife but she wasn't coming forward enough to say. There was also a little boy in the room that drifted in and out and seemed to drift as to avoid the older spirit called George, he was wearing a red waistcoat and knee lenth shorts and his legs are very bruised as if he had been punished serverly by someone. It was strongly sensed that he was very frightened of this George Spirit in death as he was in life. There were other names that came up in the main hall room on the night and they were, Stamford, James and Stanley. The older spirit named George was very active in the hall room and kept letting his presence be know to the mediums and some of the public, he was very angry and kept walking up and down and stamping his feet. A few of the public felt there faces being blown and the feeling of cobwebs on the faces, which is a sign of spirit when close. The feeling also was this George person didn't like women being in the room at all, it was a man's room, a room for the men to gather and relax and chat, smoke their cigars without the women in being there. Its strange as the smell of cigar smoke was also picked up on by various people throughout the night and a smoke form went across camera 1 on the big screen in the entrance hall.

In the main hall again later on during the evening, the two groups came back together and tried Glass divination and table tipping inwhich the glass started moving more or less right away answering questions that was put to spirit moving accordingly, the group on the glass beieved it was to the man called George and he was in the military and was very high up. He was not happy with us being in his house and wanted us out.

The other group were trying table tipping with Dee at the other end of the room, at first it was very quiet but then the table started to move very slowly, the floors in the hall are polished wood so it was able to turn the table round in circles which was very weird to see. The group started to ask questions and John and Michelle and Dee all picked up that it was the young boy who was coming through on the table, the very strange thing was that every time the glass divination slowed down to a stop the table started up and what we gathered from the mediums was that the boy was very afraid of George and that he was the little boy's father, so everytime older George came back in the room and on the glass the little boy hid away from him, hence the table stopped moving. The two mediums Michelle and John and Dee all picked up on same things, that the boy was very strongly disiplined by his father and even though he had passed tol spirit he still feared him very strongly.There was a lady on the group who was doing the glass divination who explained at the start of the night that she sometimes goes into spirit trance and that if she did during the night we were not to worry as she would not harm anyone. This lady went into trance whilst on the glass at first and stood up very sharply and started marching round the room very military like, staring at our mediums very intensely as if very annoyed, then she fixed her gaze on myself holding my camera and marched up very quickly, i asked her a question "who are you, what is your name" with which she stared and said in a deeper voice "you know who I am". Then she marched off again and turned to Michelle and placed her hand on Michelle's shoulder, Michelle said to her, "you have been in a great fire haven't you, did you burn yourself badly and it killed you", (She was given an image similar to londons burning alike the Civil War) Then the lady marched back over to the fireplace and stood looking at the photograph which is one of many in the room and stared at it. The photo was one of the Radclyffe family in full military uniform, i then asked, " is it you in the picture" and Michelle said "you dont like the picture do you, does it not look like you", the lady then said "it does not look like me at all" they did not listen to me, (meaning the artists) she then marched off and sat down returning back to her normal self.

Then out of the blue the table started to turn again and the little boy came back, the table was flying round and the group struggled to keep there fingers on the top to the point John the guest medium lost balance and fell into the curtains causing the groups to laugh but it was very strong and very active indeed, responding to every question it was asked, it got stronger as Dee banged her hands on the table top as it moved it was as if it was getting its energy from it. We got the age of 8 with the boy and that was how old he was when he died, Michelle and John picked up on a lady coming into the room in a very ballroom style dress of around the mid 1800's and that it was a strong possibility she was the child's mother, she was caring for the child but had no power over her husband's disipline where the child was concerned. During this time a knock was heard on the wall area opposite the fireplace a few people heard this in the area where they were sat. It was picked up that it was another gentleman but not a resident of the hall, a visitor but very high up in what he did, the name eventually came through as Sir Thomas Langley and he was a priest and very high up in the clergy. He had strong links with Ordsall Hall, Middleton, Bolton Cathedral, Smithalls Hall, and Oldham Church. He was just watching what was going on with great interest and then faded away. The table started to move again but the mediums said this was someone different but also very young, The group tried various ways to get a name and it took a while but came up with the name Richard with help from the mediums in the room. He was the brother of the little boy who was there earlier, he was there to keep an eye on his brother. He was older than the other boy his age was around 12-14. The lady who went into trance went again but only briefly this time but got the name William in her mind with a strong connection with the hall and a link with Karyn ?

There were lots of activity throughout the building in various rooms upstairs and down but they all seemed to focus around these same people on the glass and on the table, it was a very active night indeed.

The Grounds:
A small group went outside within the grounds behind the Hall and picked up on a few things one being a plane crash or a person connected to the hall involved in a plane crash many years ago, possibly WW2. Children playing in the grounds and one of them saying "I want to grow up and fly to the moon". There was also residual energy of a lady near to a bench next to the bowling green area wearing a white puffy dress and her hair in a bun, this is very strange as there is a lady that walks the bowling green towards the wall at the other end wearing a white dress, she has been seen many times over the years. The feeling they got was that she hand her hands clasped as if anxiously waiting for somebody who never came.The same lady has been felt in the house and is the lady with the broken neck or crick in her neck as said before earlier in the kitchen area.

We asked people to write down random thoughts what they may pick up throughout the night and here is the list of things people got including our mediums:

A cat wondering round, The name Frederick/Franklin Johnson,Stalin Grad,The sound of a tamborine, Magistrates/Dukes,Stamping/Stampede, The name Stamford,The name Catherine, Carnivors/Panthers,A lady screaming Christopher,An argument in the family turned bad and into enemies,Fornification,Grande music in the hall but sounded French/Russian. A strangling took place there, possibly the young boy ?,The name Thomas connected to the young boy,Cranberries.

All of these were picked up throughout the night by a mixed amount of people.

Upstairs saw some action but mostly it was quiet although Emma a sensitive and psychic drawer, felt the presence of a lady in the store room where she did a lone vigil and drew a picture of her. Similarities were drawn later in the night to the lady of the house during the times of the Radcliffe exsistence.

The security light came on randomly a few times throughout the night when there ws no one about but that could have been a technical fault.

There was also a feeling in the stairway of a little boy standing in the corner this was picked up by Michelle and later by someone on the vigil.

The white noise cd in the Hall:
After playing the white noise cd for around 10mins allowing people to open ther mind and just listen we turned it off and talked about what we all had individually heard, some were heard by one person and other sounds were heard by a number of people. Below is a list of what was mainly heard during the white noise:

Children Playing,A church bell ringing,A fair or fate,A nursery ryhme,Horses,People Talking,Whisperering.

It really opened peoples eyes the white noise and was a good session.
