Equipment used on the night: 4 x night vision cameras (static), Dictaphones, Parabolic listening device, Dowsing rods, Glass divination, Digital cameras, Trigger objects and Environment meter.

Ok here is a report of the nights activities for your reading, I will join both groups’ reports to gain an overall report……

The Main Hall:
It was the start of the night and Michelle our spirit medium started with an opening up meditation. Some photo’s were taken during this and some large orbs were caught above the group and behind some of the public, during this time we caught what looked like a shadow moving down the gallery on the big screen in the hall from a camera up there static. We later played this back and could not work out what but it was definitely something as it moves down away from the camera.

A male presence was picked up on in the hall moving round the group and was touching a couple of people. Michelle picked up that he was a very tall gentleman with long hair and very large build also a female was picked up on moving about within the hall with curls in her hair and a large flowing dress. The name turner was picked up on for the male, now whether it was his name or he was a Turner it is unsure.

The room did get colder a one point but soon regained its temperature back within minutes.

The Chambers Room:
There was a male in the room who had made some very serious decisions about the fates of certain people and also some very serious decisions within political roles.

Michelle picked up that this male liked Grape Juice but none alcohol, he was very adamant that he didn’t want women in the room as it wasn’t there place, and it was predominantly a male room.
A lady on the group had her hand on the glass but felt quite strongly that she had to remove it as it was getting cold around it.
Michelle picked up that the room was a very secretive room and that some wrong decisions were made there. Also a male character that was a bit of a rebel was picked up on; this character had his own views on things and went along with things with the hope of changing the way the other males thought in time, to get his own way.

There was some connection with Royal blood within the hall, not direct royalty but a cousin link perhaps that resided there at some point.
There was a male in the room who had a scar to one of his hands.
A female character again was picked up on and again with ringlets in her hair, possibly the same female as in the hall?
She was around 17-18 and was wearing a white summery dress. The year was around the 1800s and she kept running her fingers through her hair all the time.
The glass was quiet in the room with just the slight bit of movement but nothing tangible.

Mary Queen of Scott’s Room:
Temp in the room was 14c.

We settled down and the group started using the dowsing rods in here, within minutes they were going daft. They were spinning round and pointing at part of the room in direction. There were strange smells in the room which could not be explained no matter how we tried, there was also a male presence within the room with the name Edward.
Within a few minutes Michelle picked up on a female presence again we asked the dowsing rods to move if there was a female present and they did. Michelle picked up on a few things with this spirit, she was not a worker of the building but she was visiting and then ended up being kept there against her will. She was brought flowers by somebody possibly a guard or soldier. She had ruffles round her neck and jewels of some kind.
The flowers were brought to clear the smell surrounding the room or area, she was aloud to walk the grounds but not go beyond that point to the outside world as such.
She was held in the castle/hall for around 5 years, this was responded by the rods after asking the question.

Michelle picked up that it was around the 1650s time.
A male on the group said he was getting the name Lloyd in his head for some reason but didn’t know why and he didn’t know any Lloyd himself also the lady holding the rods said her hands were getting very cold and she needed to give them to somebody else which she did.

A few in the groups felt a cool breeze in the room and they had goose bumps whilst in there, no windows were open and no drafts from the door area. The temp dropped from 14 c to 5c within 5 seconds which was very odd.
Angela on one of the groups felt a tickle on her hair and head and mike on the group felt something on his neck area.
There was a small sound came from the fireplace area but could have been somebody’s stomach?
Even though the groups came in this room separate its weird how they both picked up similar things as Neils group picked up on a female who was held in the room with it possibly being a jail or prison room?

Lone Vigil In The Under croft By Angela and Jay:
Whilst down there the two heard some very strange sounds and two large bangs, they said they felt very strange whilst down there but enjoyed the experience.

Mayoress's Parlour:
We started in here with a séance and call outs, we got 3 very light taps from the corner of the room which the whole group heard clearly after that we got nothing in response.
Michelle stated that the room felt fairly flat at first but there was something trying to come in and we needed to give it a few minutes.
Michelle felt breathing in her ear and also the group started to see shadows in the room around where they were sat, Michelle said that there was something in the room walking round the group as if watching what we were doing.

Then it was picked up on that there was an old man in the room with us in poor health who was very frail around the age of 80, he had a great sorrow and sadness with him. The dowsing rods started to move in the direction that he was stood, Michelle picked up that he was saying something to her but was unsure what it was, then she said he is saying “his mother bought him a new suit years ago and he never thanked her for it and wanted to thank her”,
His energy was very weak and he wasn't really capable of doing much for us. We stayed in the room a while longer and then left as it went quiet.

The Under croft:
We all sat round on the chairs down there and I we started doing some calling out, Michelle picked up that there were two or more spirits down there who were not very nice. There were people crawling round on the floor in poor health and in pain, Michelle got Goosebumps and so did some of the group whilst in there.

Michelle stated that the room had changed so much over the years and it was not like it used to be, Michelle picked up that the floor was covered in straw or peat, perhaps used as bedding for these unfortunate souls who were in pain of some kind and starving. The people Michelle was seeing had long scruffy hair and very unclean and decease ridden, they were down there because of the diseases they had as if it was some kind of lockup/hospital..

It was clarified by Leigh who worked at the hall, that years ago it was rumoured that the plague victims were held down there during those dark years and they were kept there until their demise.

Michelle picked up on a castle or settlement on the same grounds as the hall many years ago prior to the year 1340, this was clarified by Leigh as being true as there was a castle there before the hall.
People on the group picked up on a shadow near the stairs into the under croft, it was seen by a few of the group whilst down there.
Michelle started to do a winding back opening, where she opens the group up and starts going back in years hoping to get a response from spirit by a bang or tap around the year familiar to them, we did this all the way back to 1850 where we got a bang come from the kitchen area on the same level as the under croft.

We also got the sound of an owl from within the room and flashing tiny lights were seen by members of the group.
The room went quiet after this so we moved on.

The Treasury:
Two of the group went into here for a lone vigil for 30 mins; they were Jay and another male of the group.
Whilst in there on there own they experienced a few odd things happening. They got a sudden drop in temperature and the rods were moving quite fast and in response to questions.
It was a good experience for them and they enjoyed it even though they didn’t hear anything as in taps and bangs Etc.

The Gallery and Gallery Room:
The full team and both groups went up here for a vigil.
Michelle did some calling out to start the ball rolling and some of the group heard what could only be described as chanting or low humming coming from the area they were in. This was also heard by the group sat in with the sloping floor they also heard humming. This again was confirmed as having happened on a number of occasions over the last few months.

A few knocks and taps were heard also up there which could not be explained in anyway at all. More knocking was heard but this sounded hollow as if tapping on something void. I called from the hall area as I was watching the screens for possible anomalies and the group said the temperature dropped dramatically after I had to a point where they could see there breath. Some group members felt as though something was behind them on the gallery corridor and that they felt the coldness again near where they were.

It all went back to normal again about 5 minutes later so they all came down and we grouped up to decide if they wanted to do one more vigil in the under croft.

The Last Vigil In The Under croft:
The feeling of despair again came over Michelle down in the under croft and the feeling of illness and plague, a strange smell was picked up not unlike the smell associated with stables.
The rods were moving quite fast again down here and in response to questioning, they were very erratic in there movements and also spinning very fast.

The whole group felt coldness down there and shadows again were seen in the stair area and the feeling of being watched.
We got no sounds this time and it all fell quiet after about 10 minutes so we decided to call it a night and wrap up the night.
